Your Future Does Not Have To Be "BLACK"

Thinking about the colour black, one word dropped in my ears… “YOUR PAST”.

NEVER YOU ALLOW YOUR DARK PAST TO DEFINE YOU!

God is more interested in who you are and what you are going to be than who you were once and what you used to be. Yes, God forgets our past, for He has forgiven us of all the mean, low-down things we have done. Our past has changed, because, in God’s eyes, we have no past, only a great future. Isn’t that amazing? Isn’t that wonderful?

Today, don’t let anybody remind you who you were. Don’t allow your past, whatever that is, bring you down. God wants you to move on. He doesn’t want you to dwell in it. He doesn’t want you to entertain it. When someone tries to remind of you your past, show them what kind of person you are today.  You are God’s special treasure. In his eyes YOU ARE SIGNIFICANT; you are His treasure.

No matter how bad your past looks, no matter how vile you think your past life was, if you are in Christ you are now a new creation. Your past doesn’t define you.

“An individual can no more remember all the blunders and mistakes he has made than he can count all the blessings he has received.”

Remember, the past may change how you think, how you behave, and how you react but not who you are. Despite all the failures, mistakes, whatever that you think of that you made in life, you are a new creation and the past is history. True change comes when you make a clear-cut between you past and present. You will experience true peace when you stop beating yourself up for what you did and start enjoying the gift of God that is available through Christ Jesus. If God can let go of your past you should do the same.

The Lord God says in Isaiah 43: 25, “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions, for My own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

Here is my challenge for you today: Stop remembering what God has already forgotten! Step into TODAY and let the past be the past. The bible tells in Romans 8:1 that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. If you are in Christ Jesus, you are a new person. If the devil or people keep on bringing your past to your mind, tell them boldly you are a new creation, a brand new treasure of the most high. Don’t let anyone including the devil push you down to your past; let the past be past. You are God’s precious masterwork.

Read what the scripture says in Isaiah 43:4,RSV “…you are precious in My eyes, and honored, and I love you…” Wow! Can you imagine that? Please read it one more time again, “…you are precious in My eyes, and honored, and I love you…” Amen!

I never allowed my past to define my future. So my dear sisters, no matter the story, remember the glory in front of you so jump to attain.

  1. Hi Nky, I love black outfits, though its not my favorite color. And yes, you are right, it has a lot to do with the past, lol. Thanks for reminding me of how much God loves me. God bless you.
