When someone wrongs us, it’s easy to settle into resentment. Our pride or self-esteem is injured. Our expectations or dreams are disappointed. We lose something very valuable to us. Obviously, we want some kind of compensation for the damages. And when it doesn’t happen, bitterness sets in. We remain unforgiving and resentful.
The thing about bitterness though, is that it tends to eat away at us. It destroys relationships. It destroys us.
So why is it so hard for you to forgive?
