When you stay trapped in the past, a lot of amazing opportunities pass you by. If you don’t move from your past, from that place of hurt and anger, you’ll continue to attract more pain and anger into your life. When we forgive ourselves and take steps to forgetting the past, that act is one of the most loving actions we can do for ourselves because only then do we begin to heal and start to uncover a new person. Just know that everything that has happened before is a preparation for what our future holds. It all makes us wiser, stronger and more prepared for whatever is coming our way.
Focused on the Goal
I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.
